Connection to ERP Software
Integration of hazardous substance management into the company software via web service interfaces.
With epos the introduction of a professional hazardous substance management into existing systems is no longer a problem. Freely available web services (interfaces) are open for all applications and can be adapted to customer requirements.
epos provides web service interfaces in a service-oriented architecture (SOA) to integrate security data for business processes. Via the user interface – e.g. ERP – data is imported from or exported to epos.
This connection avoids redundant data maintenance. Customer and product data can easily be transferred.
epos ensures a perfect interaction between hazardous substance management and in-house software.
Interfaces of the following systems are already used by our customers:
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
- Microsoft Dynamics AX
- SAP Business One
- SAP R/3
- Sage ERP-systems
- Pro Alpha
- and other enterprise-specific software
Our customer “Düsseldorf” has been authoring safety data sheets since 1998. The sales department, which could only distribute SDSs in paper form, asked for PDF documents for easy forwarding.
“Ultimately, our sales department’s desire was a valuable clue to take a closer look at other processes in the company. After all, relevant information should be accessible at the right time and in the right place.
Today, we develop our formulations in the ERP system and transfer them to the hazardous substance management software via interfaces. Employees in Product Safety then create the safety data sheets. By making full use of the scope of services – the automatic filling of the sections including automatic classification – current SDSs are also promptly available to our sales department.
If a prospective customer now calls, the sales department is able to create an individual SDS as a PDF document via ERP. With just a few clicks he can determine details about the company, product, product number, output language and layout. And only minutes later the SDB specific to the prospective customer is sent by e-mail.
A professional image – thanks to shorter response times to enquiries – is a significant result of integrating hazardous substance management into our ERP system.”
